Charter Suggestions for Escapade Charters
Hauraki Gulf | Bay of Islands |
Fiji Islands | South Pacific The following are suggested itineraries for the
charter of Escapade.
The Fiji Islands
Day One:
We will meet you from the ferry or plane and settle
you aboard 'Escapade'.
You have time for last minute shopping or phone
calls before leaving civilization behind and setting
sail for 'Honeymoon Island' where you can have
a snorkel, then onto Liku Liku Bay in which we
anchor for the night and enjoy a cocktail as the
sun sets.
Day Two:
An early start for Waya Island, a four hour sail.
We break enroute at Kuata to snorkel the Coral
Cliffs. At Waya we anchor in Yalohi Bay and visit
the village and the Chief for the 'Kava Ceremony'.
Perhaps you have caught fish today which we can
prepare and serve for your evening meal.
Day Three:
After a relaxing breakfast, with lots of fresh
fruit, we set sail for the Blue Lagoon.
Not to be missed is afternoon tea at 'Aunt Fanny's',
with home-made Chocolate and Coconut cakes, and
you may even like to snorkel the 'Cabbage Patch'.
Day Four:
A relaxed short sail to Sawa-I-Lau to swim and
explore limestone caves.
This evening, enjoy a delicious meal aboard.
Day Five:
Sail 2 hours south to Tavawa Island. Explore one
of the many bays along the way.
You may like to visit a local school.
Day Six:
A leisurely sail to Somo Somo Bay on Naviti Island.
Visit the women and Chief Tai Dawali, where you
can trade shells and carvings from the local village
people. You may even choose to go ashore to experience
a Lovo (a traditional Fijian Feast).
Day Seven:
Explore Naviti's West Coast Bays to overnight
at the 'uninhabited' island of Drawaga. Relax
and enjoy the beautiful surroundings this Island
has to offer.
Day Eight:
Set sail for Naulawaki Bay on Waya Island, to
enjoy the fresh water pools on the beach. In the
evening we go ashore to see the 'Meke' - Fijian
dance.
Day Nine:
Today, a relaxed sail to the 'uninhabited' island
of Vanua Levu, after placing traditional gifts
in the sacred cave. Explore the island, swim,
snorkel and body surf at the beach.
Day Ten:
An early start for the 3 hour sail back to Musket
Cove. Here, you will depart us - with memories
of a truly enjoyable time.
